Teaching in the Healthcare Management program at Ultimate Medical Academy has been one of the most fulfilling chapters of my career. I’ve been with UMA for three years now and I focus on the accounting side of healthcare management. What inspired me to become an instructor was the impact my own teachers had on my life — without their support and belief in me, I might not have completed my program. Now, I get to pay that forward. The positive feedback I receive from students about how UMA and my teaching have helped them grow keeps me motivated every single day.
My role goes far beyond grading and instruction. I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where students feel supported both academically and personally. I offer one-on-one guidance, celebrate their wins, and check in regularly to make sure they know they’re not alone. One moment that really stuck with me was when a student who had been struggling finally passed my course. She sent me a heartfelt message thanking me for believing in her when she couldn’t believe in herself. That’s why I teach — because UMA isn’t just about education; it’s about empowerment. The sense of community here is strong, and everyone from instructors to advisors works together to help our students thrive.
